Tale of Wo!
The other Saturday had a trip into the city to pick up my laptop from the Apple Store on George St. Now the week before I had been stung by the Domain parking lot for 34 bucks for 3 hours parking.
This time I thought to myself, lets find a parking meter, work out cheaper.
$6.60 for an hour, and we parked behind the Botanical Gardens. Lets cut through the gardens and the store should be straight ahead. Famous last words .... Follow the paths, starting to head towards the Quay, no gate, bloody high fence.
Made it out of the jungle, now for those traffic lights. I hate the colour red, I hate the little red man with the smile on the traffic light.
See the store, now just to push those slow walkers out of the way. Oh no!, a family of six walking abreast along the footpath.
Made it. ...... Now back to the car, and only 20 minutes before the parking meter slashes the tyres and has it towed.
Damn .... I see the ranger driving down the street in a modified golf buggy with dollar signs in his eyes trying to beat me to the car.
Made it you evil man with machine of iron praying on hard earned cash.
How about a bite to eat hun, yeah, sounds good to me. Ok hun, I'll just feed this meter again.
11 bucks later, we head off into the midday crowed looking for a place to graze. In all 18 bucks something later for 3 hours parking, I was on my way home.
Moral of the story.
While on the run, never snap without taking details. Makes one look real bright when posting on Flickr later.
